Since we are so lucky to be a short half hour drive to the the canyon we thought we would head up for Labor Day. I had heard about Silver Lake from my cousin and friend and thought it sounded perfect for us. We had so much fun enjoying the cool, crisp air, a great hike, fun company, laughter and a yummy picnik. We will be going back very soon to see the fall colors. This was a great activity for young kids, there is a great boardwalk that goes around the lake and lots of spots for fishing.

I am impressed by how clean your kids are for camping. I swear within 10 minutes of landing at our camping site someone is blacked face for dirt or wet from falling in the lake.
It was fun to get out of the house and into the mountains where it is so beautiful. Cute pictures!
Jane, I love seeing pictures of your gorgeous family. And the pictures you take look like they are straight out of a magazine. You are so talented! What a fun hobby! I miss you and will hopefully see you soon!
